“FADILJA KAJOSEVIC. SELENOPHILIA: LOVE OF THE MOON”
Il Museo MIIT di Torino presenta dal 23 ottobre al 4 novembre 2021 la mostra personale dedicata all’artista montenegrina Fadilja Kajosevic., nell’ambito degli scambi internazionali del MIIT con artisti, gallerie, fondazioni, musei e Istituti Italiani di Cultura nel mondo. L’esposizione prende in esame una delle numerose serie di dipinti realizzati dall’artista, in particolare quella dedicata ai ritratti e ai suoi personaggi enigmatici e silenti. Le protagoniste delle opere di Kajosevic vengono interpretate dall’artista in maniera intima, personale, riservata, come fossero ricordi di istanti di vita vissuti e gelosamente custoditi nel cuore. Lo stile è libero e affida a potenti macchie di colore vibrante la definizione dello spazio e dei volumi. In alcuni esempi l’artista strizza l’occhio al cubismo, destrutturando volti e corpi in sfaccettature scomposte e lasciando al gioco delle trasparenze cromatiche il compito di suggerire atmosfere e profondità. Una decina di lavori ci permettono così di cogliere lo spirito che da sempre caratterizza la ricerca di Kajosevic, attenta al messaggio insito in ogni opera, a trasmetterci la sua visione dell’arte, che deve prima di tutto raccontare una storia. Una galleria di ritratti, di personaggi, un po’ reali, un po’ sognati, un po’ inventati, che però rappresentano altrettanti simboli dei nostri sentimenti, delle nostre paure. Quei volti che spuntano da un universo di colori, dalle forme composte, quasi maschere dell’anima, i cuori che si spezzano e ricompongono, angeli e colombe altro non sono che il riflesso dell’Es e Fadilja Kajosevic crea la scenografia della vita con sensibilità e creatività
The MIIT Museum of Turin presents from 23 October to 4 November 2021 the solo exhibition dedicated to the Montenegrin artist Fadilja Kajosevic, as part of MIIT’s international exchanges with artists, galleries, foundations, museums and Italian Cultural Institutes in the world. The exhibition examines one of the numerous series of paintings made by the artist, in particular the one dedicated to portraits and his enigmatic and silent characters. The protagonists of Kajosevic’s works are interpreted by the artist in an intimate, personal, reserved way, as if they were memories of moments of life lived and jealously guarded in the heart. The style is free and entrusts the definition of space and volumes to powerful splashes of vibrant color. In some examples, the artist winks at Cubism, deconstructing faces and bodies into disjointed facets and leaving the task of suggesting atmospheres and depth to the play of chromatic transparencies. A dozen works thus allow us to grasp the spirit that has always characterized Kajosevic’s research, attentive to the message inherent in each work, to convey his vision of art, which must first of all tell a story.
A gallery of portraits, of characters, a little real, a little dreamed, a little invented, which however represent as many symbols of our feelings, our fears. Those faces that emerge from a universe of colors, with compound shapes, almost masks of the soul, hearts that break and reassemble, angels and doves are nothing but the reflection of the Id and Fadilja Kajosevic creates the scenography of life with sensitivity and creativity
